Sono Motors appoints Supervisory Board

Following the Nasdaq IPO , Sono Motors has appointed its supervisory board. The five-member supervisory board is chaired by Wilko Stark, the former head of product strategy at Volkswagen. His deputy is Martina Buchhauser, who was a member of the board at Volvo where she headed global purchasing.
"We have appointed proven experts to our Supervisory Board who also have strong expertise in mobility, automotive, digitalisation and corporate governance," says CEO and co-founder Jona Christians. Robert Jeffe, the director and chairman of the audit committee of Assosiated Bank Corp and senior partner at BlackWatch Advisors, is also part of the board, according to the company. NeLeSo founder and managing director Sebastian Böttger represents the interests of stakeholders. The Munich-based startup appointed Johannes Trischler as an employee representative.
Sono Motors was founded in 2016 by Jona Christians, Laurin Hahn and Navina Pernsteiner. The Munich-based start-up has developed an electric car with integrated solar panels. Production of the vehicle, called "Sion", is scheduled to start in 2023.
