Show Description -

Little Too Much is an English comedy solo stand-up show by comedian Anshita Koul. The show takes you on a roller coaster ride that is Anshita’s life, engaging the audience with stories about why she switched careers from software engineering to hardware comedy, why she thinks marriage is a pyramid scheme, why she misses her catcallers back home, why she despises the public enemy number one question 'How are you?' and what happened when she came out to her friends and family as a woman with opinions on Indian Reality TV shows, amongst other topics trivial and political.

36, Indian, Queer, Married, Childfree by choice and a standup comedian by profession– Anshita is a poster child for everything Heteronormative Patriarchy hates, but don’t worry kids, she hates it back way more. Anshita is currently on tour, and has taken the show and parts of it to 28+ cities across Europe and UK, including Edinburgh Fringe 22, Tallinn Fringe 22 and 23, Copenhagen Pride Stage 23 and the backyard of a rich Flemish man.

As an independent artist, Anshita wishes to puncture a hole in the gatekeeping and record her special so she can put it up behind a sliding scale paywall so her audience members, patrons and cheerleaders can watch it live from the comfort of their toilet seats.

About Anshita Koul

Anshita Koul (she/they) is a Berlin based, internationally touring standup comedian from India. They are also the co-founder of Clit Comedy Club and Festrogen Comedy Festival in Luxembourg. When she is not touring, she is performing, hosting and producing comedy shows in Berlin under the brand Comedy Bazaar Berlin and BIPOC Queer Comedy Lineup at Tipsy Bear Berlin. They also teach virtual and in-person joke writing workshops for individuals and organizations. Anshita made her debut in the standup world from the Indian reality TV show Queens of Comedy in 2017 and they were also seen opening the Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 in the UK, as the only comedian from Europe who made it to the finals. Anshita is currently on tour with their solo hour LITTLE TOO MUCH that they recently performed at Copenhagen Pride Stage.
