Startbase helps establish Germany as one of the leading startup ecosystems in the world. Startbase focuses on simplifying the way startups can find and connect with investors, companies, and other ecosystem partners from Germany and abroad, and vice versa - in a trustworthy and transparent environment!

We are a team of colleagues based in Berlin and Stuttgart. We bring together broad capital market expertise and extensive contacts in the nationwide startup scene, politics and abroad. Our mission is to develop and offer new innovative services that help startups find the right partners and facilitate their funding process.

Before Startbase, both project partners were already heavily involved in the startup ecosystem, dealing with venture capital, organizing pitching events, building resilient networks or influencing political frameworks that favor the growth of startups.

The Stuttgart Stock Exchange is the leading stock exchange for private investors in Germany. At the Stuttgart Stock Exchange, retail investors trade in shares, securitised derivatives, bonds, investment fund units and profit participation certificates - all at the highest execution quality and best prices.

Our focus is on German startups. We want foreign investors or potential cooperation partners to pay more attention to the German startup ecosystem and its potential. This way, we provide them with easy access. So, yes, Startbase is an international platform.

Anyone who is part of or interested in the German startup ecosystem! Our platform is aimed at employees, managers, journalists, founders, investors and anyone else involved with startups.

We are targeting innovative, growth-oriented and scalable companies that are either already founded in Germany, are planning to start up in Germany or have a branch in Germany. Startup companies are usually, but do not have to be, younger than 10 years (exceptions are possible). Their founders should still have a significant stake in the company. We reserve the right to reject company profiles if they do not meet our criteria. If we have any further questions, we will contact you.

Startbase also reaches out to investors, corporations, and other meaningful ecosystem partners, both domestic and international.

First of all, the startup ecosystem is our focus, so it should be relevant to you as well. Investors aim to invest in startups and pursue activities that help them do so.

Companies show a commitment to the ecosystem, meaning they provide offers and services aimed at startups, organize events, share their knowledge or look for innovative products, services and business models.

We don't like companies that use our platform to have their ads served and provide only promotional content ;). We also don't like spam.

Therefore, we reserve the right to reject company profiles if they do not match our criteria or target groups. If you have any questions, we will contact you.

No, you cannot raise capital directly on Startbase. We are not an investment platform. However, our features will definitely help you attract attention and find capital.

You cannot invest directly in companies on Startbase. Our platform is not an investment platform and we do not offer any intermediary services. We see ourselves as a platform and information service. Our goal is to simplify the way companies and people who care about each other are found and brought together.

We've migrated all of your VentureZphere information to Startbase. You can check your new profile and update it with your old credentials.

There will be a transition period where both platforms, Startbase and VentureZphere, will be online. Once we have successfully completed the migration to Startbase, we will take VentureZphere offline.

No, VentureZphere will be taken offline once we successfully complete the migration to Startbase. There will only be Startbase as our new platform.

To create a company profile, you must first register. Then log in, go to "My companies" and add a new company. Fill in the information step by step and complete your profile in the editor.

Provide as much information as possible. The more you share, the better the company profile will rank in our galleries and searches.

Claimed profiles signal that they are owned and managed by people who actually work at the company. We verify this by checking that your email address (e.g. m.muster@testfirma.de) matches your company's email domain (@testfirma.de).

If your company already has a profile on Startbase, but it is not managed by the company itself, you can claim it at any time. Go to the company profile and click on "Is this your company?". Follow the explanations to claim the company.

Only "admins" and authorized team members can edit and update your company profile. If you are a team member, please contact the admin of your company who can allow you to edit the profile. Go further to the "Editor" in your company's profile to see who is Admin.

In order to appear as a team member on a company's profile, each team member must be registered on Startbase with their company email address. We assign each team member to their company profile by their email.

Admins and authorized team members can then decide whether they appear in the company profile and set their editing rights in the "Editor".

This can have several reasons:

1. You are not assigned to a company profile.
2. You are assigned to a company profile, but you are not an admin or you do not have admin rights. Then contact the admin of your company. You can find the name by clicking on the "Editor" tab in your company's profile.
3. It is our fault - there could be an error. Then feel free to contact us by sending an email to support@startbase.de.

First log in. Click on your name in the upper right corner of Startbase, go to "Account Settings". Now simply set a new password.

To delete your account, please send us an emailansupport@startbase.de with your registered email address and tell us that you want your account deleted. We will then delete all data. You will be notified by email once all your data has left our system.

Our goal is to provide every Startbase visitor with a qualitative overview and access to the German startup ecosystem. That's why our team of analysts evaluates every company profile. If startups meet the following criteria

• Validated team members
• Registered in a German commercial register
• Headquarters in Germany
• Scalable business model
• Innovative business model
• Founders are still involved
• The founders still hold shares

... they get the status "qualified". If we have any questions, we can get in touch with them.

Startups that don't meet all of the above criteria will still show up in our galleries and searches. You could be a match too!

Quality Score: How well maintained is your profile - do you have pictures, team members, contact info etc. is everything up to date? Is your profile "busy" and/or "qualified"? Popularity Score: How often do users interact with you and your profile - watchlist, etc.? Activity Score: How active you are on Startbase - user logins, profile updates, press releases, events, etc. Startbase Score: Mix of all scores! It's worth working for your scores: more visibility, more fame, more trust!

Please send us an email with your registered email address to support@startbase.de and indicate that you would like a company profile to be removed from our platform. We will then delete all information.

If we have any further questions, we will contact you.

• Operations with a focus on investments
• Proven investment track record

Investors who do not meet all of the above criteria will still be featured in our galleries and search. You could be a match too!

Our goal is to provide every Startbase visitor with a qualitative overview and access to the German startup ecosystem. That's why our team of analysts evaluates every company profile. If companies meet the following criteria

• Validated team members on Startbase
• Registered in a German commercial register
• Proven startup ecosystem footprint
• Offers special deals for startups

... They will receive the status "qualified". If they have any questions, we can get in touch with them.

Companies that don't meet all of the above criteria will still be featured in our galleries and searches. You could be a match too!

Simply subscribe to our newsletters. We share stories and updates about our users, events, as well as info about new features on Startbase.
