12 million US dollars for GeneralMind

Just a few months after it was founded, the Berlin-based AI start-up GeneralMind has closed a financing round of 12 million US dollars. The company is developing an "AI System of Action" that automates operational processes along the supply chain and replaces the previous manual "digital paperwork" between email, Excel and ERP systems.

Large pre-seed financing supports European expansion

The current round is one of the best-known European pre-seed financings of recent years and was led by venture capital companies such as Lakestar, Leo Capital, Lucid Capital, Heliad and BOOOM. Experienced angel investors such as Alexander Kudlich, Jens Urbaniak, Samir Sood and Vishal Lugani are also participating. The funds will be used in particular to scale the technology in Europe.

AI system replaces manual processes

Despite existing ERP systems, many companies still work with unstructured emails, spreadsheets and manual coordination, which leads to media disruptions, a high susceptibility to errors and delays along the supply chain. GeneralMind's approach addresses precisely this. The AI System of Action takes over recurring, complex work steps autonomously, monitored by humans and released when necessary.

The AI processes incoming tasks automatically, coordinates numerous internal and external stakeholders and ensures that deadlines are met and decisions can be made more quickly. Applications can be found in areas such as procurement, sales and invoice processing.

Already in use

NASDAQ, MDAX and SDAX-listed companies are already using GeneralMind's technology. The company has its headquarters in Berlin and a site in Bangalore. It was founded by Tushar Ahluwalia (CEO), Shrestha Chowdhury (CPO), Dr. Oliver Dlugosch (CCO), Lennart von Hardenberg (CTO Platform), Nishrit Shrivastava (CTO Deployments) and Sergiu Șoima (SVP Engineering).
