AirHub receives 4.4 million euros Series A funding
The European software startup AirHub has closed a Series A financing round of 4.4 million euros. The round is led by Keen Venture Partners and Runway FBU, supported by existing investors Lumaux and LUMO Labs.
AirHub will use the fresh capital to expand its software platform for drone missions and position itself as a technological backbone for security, defense and infrastructure applications in Europe.
Software for critical drone missions
With the Drone Operations Center, AirHub is developing a central platform for planning, executing and monitoring drone missions. Organizations can use it to coordinate missions, evaluate live data and manage compliance and reporting processes. The aim is to make drones usable not as stand-alone solutions, but as an integral part of operational processes - especially in complex and security-critical environments.
Growing market due to security and sovereignty requirements
The demand for drone solutions is rising sharply, particularly in areas such as defense, police, border protection and critical infrastructure. At the same time, the need for technological sovereignty and control over data and systems is growing in Europe.
AirHub is addressing precisely this trend and positioning itself as the European alternative for safety-critical applications.
Strong traction and new product lines
The platform is already being used by organizations such as police and security agencies as well as companies such as Shell and Securitas. Typical use cases include incident response, infrastructure inspection and security monitoring.
AirHub plans to use the funding to
- Expand the international team
- Further development of the core platform
- Launch new products such as MilHub (defense) and SecHub (security operations including counter-drone)
We see a clear need for trusted software that helps teams conduct drone missions safely, effectively and at scale, while strengthening Europe's ability to rely on its own technology in critical operations.
Thomas Brinkman, Co-CEO and Co-Founder AirHub
Focus on scaling and European independence
AirHub aims to establish itself as the leading software platform for drone operations in the long term while contributing to Europe's technological independence. Co-CEO Stephan van Vuren emphasizes that the solutions are developed for real operational situations under high pressure. Reliability in critical moments is what really counts.
