Pharmacy delivery service Cure receives four million euros

The Berlin-based start-up wants to bring the pharmacy to people's homes. With this vision, the company was able to convince investors and will soon launch.

The pharmacy delivery service Cure was able to raise four million euros from investors. Lead investor of the round is Craft Ventures, known as a partner of Uber, Airbnb and Facebook. Abstract Ventures, J12 Ventures and J Ventures are also participating.

Cure has developed an app that allows customers to select and order from an assortment of 3,000 over-the-counter medical products. A rider then picks up the products from the nearest pharmacy and delivers them to the customer within 30 minutes.

The start-up does not see itself as competition for the trusted pharmacy, but as a "connecting element in times of social distancing." In addition to the app, a telephone hotline will soon be set up so that older people can also use the service.

It was only in December 2021 that Ali El-Ali and Manuel Aberle founded the start-up. Just two months later, Cure has more than a hundred employees and is starting to deliver medicines in Berlin. In the future, the company plans to deliver in other cities as well. The start-up wants to differentiate itself from other delivery services by employing riders on a permanent basis and giving them rest periods with meals. The Berlin-based company's goal is to become the most sustainable and fairest pharmacy delivery service in Germany.
