Pharmacy delivery service Cure receives four million euros

The Berlin start-up wants to bring the pharmacy to people's homes. The company was able to convince investors with this vision and will soon be launching.

The pharmacy delivery service Cure has raised four million euros from investors. The lead investor in the round is Craft Ventures, known as a partner of Uber, Airbnb and Facebook. Abstract Ventures, J12 Ventures and J Ventures are also participating.

Cure has developed an app that allows customers to select and order from a range of 3,000 over-the-counter medical products. A rider then picks up the products from the nearest pharmacy and delivers them to the customer within 30 minutes.

The start-up does not see itself as competition for the pharmacy of choice, but as a "connecting element in times of social distancing". In addition to the app, a telephone hotline is soon to be set up so that older people can also use the service.

Ali El-Ali and Manuel Aberle only founded the start-up in December 2021. Just two months later, Cure has more than one hundred employees and has started delivering medicines in Berlin. The company is also planning to deliver to other cities in the future. The start-up wants to differentiate itself from other delivery services by employing the riders on a permanent basis and giving them rest periods with meals. The aim of the Berlin-based company is to become the most sustainable and fairest pharmacy delivery service in Germany.
