Artoui collects one million euros

The art platform aims to bring artists, collectors and companies together.
Munich-based start-up Artoui has raised one million euros, as reported by the Handelsblatt reports. According to the report, Andreas Knürr has invested in the company through his investment firm K&K1. Claudia and Yussof Knauss also participated in the funding round. "This is a concept that offers artists better marketing opportunities than they've ever had," Yussof Knauss is quoted as saying in Handelsblatt. The photographer also distributes his work himself via the Artoui platform.
In 2019, Benjamin Gibtner, Daniel Cid Gómez and András Dobi founded the art platform. The aim is to bring together artists, collectors and companies. The start-up's offering is aimed at both private customers and corporate clients. Artoui has already furnished hotels in Berlin and Basel with several hundred photographs. The start-up currently sells works by more than 60 artists in its online store. In addition to its online business, the company also plans to open a showroom in downtown Munich soon.
