ARX presents Combat Gereon

The defense tech ARX Robotics has presented Combat Gereon, the first combat-ready integration of its UGV platform Gereon RCS. The aim is to protect soldiers in high-risk environments by making initial contact with enemy forces robotically. The system will be presented at DSEI UK 2025 in London.

Unmanned First Contact

Combat Gereon is based on the concept of "Unmanned First Contact". Autonomous, software-supported systems are deployed in advance to keep soldiers out of the most dangerous zones. The aim is to significantly increase the survivability of troops.

The system integrates the proven Gereon RCS UGV platform with the LOKI remote-controlled weapon station from Valhalla Turrets. Modularity and connectivity to the Mithra OS ecosystem ensure full interoperability and the ability to flexibly deploy different mission payloads.

European-Ukrainian development campaign

Combat Gereon was the result of a European-Ukrainian cooperation. ARX cooperated with Frontline units in Ukraine and integrated continuous user feedback with real frontline experience. In parallel, the platform was developed together with Valhalla for the European market, so that both frontline experience and European procurement and security guidelines are taken into account.

Combat Gereon is the next step in our mission to protect soldiers and strengthen Europe's defense resilience.

Responding to Europe's security environment

The need for flexible, cost-effective defense systems is growing in the face of new threats. Combat Gereon takes on high-risk tasks, including reconnaissance, reconnaissance and forward observation.

The software-defined architecture enables rapid adaptation to dynamic combat conditions. In addition, Combat Gereon stands for the reindustrialization of the European defence industry, as it is to be manufactured at scale in European and Ukrainian production facilities.

With Combat Gereon, ARX is expanding its portfolio of support and logistics solutions into the combat-capable area and demonstrating its ambition to provide scalable, autonomous systems for European security. Most recently, in April 2025, we announced a successful 31 million euro Series A for the Munich-based startup.
