Auto1 flies out of the MDax

The start-up made a brilliant stock market debut at the beginning of last year. Now it is being relegated to the SDax.

Following its quarterly review of the indices, Deutsche Börse announced the promoted and relegated companies on Thursday evening. Auto1, the start-up that operates Wirkaufendeinauto.de and is also behind Autohero has lost its position in the MDax of the 50 largest second-line stocks. Like the automotive supplier Hella and the medical software provider Compugroup Medica, it is being relegated to the small-cap index SDax, which comprises 70 companies. The car rental company Sixt, the media group RTL Group and the chip supplier Siltronic have moved up. The reshuffling of the indices will take place on March 21.

Auto1 was only launched on the capital market at the beginning of last year and made a brilliant IPO at the time. At the time, the used car start-up was valued at 11.7 billion euros.

There are also changes in the Dax of the 40 largest companies. Commercial vehicle manufacturer Daimler Truck and reinsurer Hannover Re are moving up. Consumer goods group Beiersdorf and power engineering group Siemens Energy are relegated in their place. The two start-ups Delivery Hero and Hellofresh were able to retain their place in the Dax.
