Long-range drones for infrastructure monitoring. Beagle Systems uses autonomous technologies to identify danger spots.

Hamburg, April 2, 2025 - The Hamburg-based startup Beagle Systems has raised 5 million euros in a seed financing round. The investment is backed by venture capital funds PT1 and AENU as co-leads as well as existing investors. The company plans to use the capital to expand its drone network in Europe and develop a new generation of long-range drones and associated charging infrastructure. The aim is to make the monitoring of critical infrastructure safer and more efficient.

Drone technology for a resilient infrastructure

Beagle Systems specializes in the collection and analysis of geodata using long-range drones. Since 2024, the company has been monitoring Germany's natural gas network and identifying safety-critical danger spots and methane leaks. In doing so, it helps to reduce emissions and strengthen the energy infrastructure.

Beagle Systems is creating an innovative solution to provide geodata more flexibly and efficiently. The company will make the monitoring of critical infrastructure more sustainable.

Nikolas Samios, Managing Partner of PT1

Thanks to comprehensive authorizations, Beagle Systems already covers around 80% of European airspace with its "Made in Europe" technology. The company has already acquired major European energy suppliers as customers and secured orders worth several million euros.

Autonomous drone technologies in the energy sector have enormous potential. Beagle Systems offers a cost-effective solution for monitoring and securing the energy supply.

Future plans

Beagle Systems is developing a network of long-range drones to collect and analyze geodata. Since 2024, the technology has been used to monitor natural gas pipelines and methane emissions. The startup's main goal is to further expand its service.

This financing round shows our partners' confidence in our technology. With the new capital, we can further develop our services and make the European infrastructure more crisis-proof.

Oliver Lichtenstein, CEO and co-founder of Beagle Systems

Beagle Systems intends to use the fresh capital to expand its area of operation in Europe and grow its team. In addition, the development of a new generation of drones and corresponding charging infrastructures that are specifically designed for use in urban and densely populated areas will be driven forward.
