Existing investors of Vialytics give money again

Enbw New Ventures and Statkraft Ventures are once again stepping up to the plate. However, the amount of the funding was not disclosed at first.

Vialyticsonly raised money from its investors inDecember, and now venture capitalists Enbw New Ventures (ENV) and Statkraft Ventures are following up again. "Over the last twelve months, vialytics has performed extremely well," says Steffen Funck from Statkraft Ventures. "We are pleased to be able to support the team as they continue to scale." The exact amount remains unnamed.

Founded in 2017 by Achim Hoth, Patrick Glaser and Danilo Jovicic-Albrecht, the start-up has developed an artificial intelligence for the digital management of roads. "Our system helps all municipalities to simplify their daily routine, from route control to maintenance management, in order to ensure safe roads and cycle paths - and now increasingly internationally," the three founders are quoted as saying.

The AI is attached via smartphone to urban vehicles such as garbage collection or street cleaning. From there, it scans the road, a motion sensor detects vibrations. Vialytics makes the data available to the municipalities so that they can repair them in time and save costs such as damages.
