Bling receives $12 million investment

Owl Ventures and Neosfer invest in Bling. The Berlin-based FamilyTech start-up plans to use 12 million US dollars to expand its digital support for families and further develop its platform.

Berlin, June 27, 2024 - Berlin-based start-up Bling has successfully closed a financing round of 12 million US dollars. Bling, Europe's first super app for families, plans to use the fresh capital to expand and further scale its offering.

Investors and support

The Series A financing is led by Owl Ventures from San Francisco, the world's largest EdTech investor. Owl Ventures has invested in renowned companies such as MasterClass. Neosfer, the venture arm of the Commerzbank Group, is participating as a co-investor. Existing investors such as PEAK and Angel Invest are also supporting this financing round.

Rapid growth and great potential

Bling was founded in Berlin in 2021. The app aims to improve the financial and media literacy of families. Bling focuses on simple visualizations and educational information. We recently reported on the Startbase that Christian Hellmann has been appointed Head of Brand at Bling at Bling. Numerous renowned investors such as La Famiglia, General Catalyst, PEAK, Verena Pausder, Lea-Sophie Cramer and André Schürrle are involved in Bling.

Since its launch in summer 2022, Bling has gained 150,000 revenue-generating family members. The app offers digital solutions in the areas of payment, investment and mobile communications. In February 2024, the offering was expanded to include "Bling Mobile", family-friendly mobile tariffs in cooperation with Deutsche Telekom.

Future plans and partnerships

Bling intends to use the new capital to expand its B2B2C platform and further improve its offering. The company already cooperates with partners such as Société Générale, Deutsche Telekom and Evergreen, which opens up unique access to the family target group.
