Brandenburg Kapital invests in startup Hello Mateo

Mateo has convinced investors and closed a large financing round. Find out more about the omni-channel communication software that helps companies strengthen their customer loyalty via messenger services.
Berlin, June 6, 2024 - Berlin-based B2B SaaS startup Mateo has closed a successful financing round. The company, which was founded by former SAP employees, has received seven-figure seed funding. Mateo plans to use the fresh capital to drive its expansion in the DACH region and develop further product innovations.
Omni-channel communication software
Mateo offers omni-channel communication software aimed at local brands and companies. The platform makes it possible to map the entire customer journey via messengers such as WhatsApp. Companies can use it to manage marketing campaigns, generate online reviews and improve after-sales service. The aim is to strengthen customer loyalty and make it easier to reactivate existing customers.
Support from investors
The current financing round was led by Brandenburg Kapital, Raakwark Kaptaal and several angel investors. Sebastian Bertram, Investment Manager at Brandenburg Kapital, is convinced: "Mateo's disproportionately high growth over the past year prompted us to participate in this financing round. We are delighted to be able to support the company's development."
Growth and success
Mateo was founded in mid-2021 by Christian Strauch, Domenik Fox and Philipp Steinrötter. Originally, the focus was on the real estate industry. However, over 1000 companies from more than 30 industries now use Mateo's software. This broad use demonstrates the platform's potential and has strengthened investor confidence.
In 2023, Mateo was able to increase its existing customer base fivefold and acquire well-known major customers. These successes laid the foundation for the current financing round and the company's further expansion.
