Caidera receives six-figure pre-seed

The Berlin-based AI startup Caidera has completed pre-seed financing of 300,000 euros. The aim is to fundamentally automate marketing and communication processes in highly regulated industries such as pharma, medtech and healthcare. The round is led by business angels from the fields of technology and regulation, including Alexander Birke, Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Zarnekow, Richard Gerstenberg, Dr. Benedikt Rechmann and Kai Stubbe.

In the healthcare industry, approval processes for marketing campaigns often take weeks or even months. Caidera wants to solve this bottleneck with AI agents that not only check content automatically, but also create it in accordance with the rules.

The platform analyzes regulatory requirements, draws on scientific sources and generates content such as newsletters, white papers or social posts that already meet all compliance requirements. The promise: Campaigns in two hours instead of two months.

Caidera's particular focus is on traceability. Every AI-generated statement is documented and backed up with sources. This is a key point in industries where patient safety and legal liability have top priority.

From university program to deep tech startup

Caidera was founded in 2024 as part of the Science & Startup Program (network of Charité, FU, TU and HU Berlin) and funded by the Berlin Startup Scholarship. The founders Max Sieg and Daniel Fernau recognized the problem from consulting projects for large healthcare companies."Marketing teams lose weeks due to regulatory review processes - that paralyzes innovation," says Sieg.

Caidera plans to use the new capital to expand the team in development and operations and to expand the platform technologically. In the long term, the start-up also wants to offer its solution for other regulated sectors such as financial services, energy and food.

"We want medical innovations to reach patients faster," says Sieg. Caidera wants to use AI and automation to help ensure that important health information does not fail due to compliance processes, but can be communicated securely and efficiently.

Caidera must be measured by its results

We are all too familiar with the high requirements that apply in the healthcare sector from our own environment. It's not just a matter of complying with legal requirements regarding healing promises or health claims. There is often an intense struggle over every formulation, every comma and every statement. The pharmaceutical market in particular is characterized by a fiercely competitive environment in which the players watch each other very closely. In the end, however, this self-regulating process benefits patients and end customers as it ensures safety, transparency and quality.

Caidera will now have to be measured by how reliably and legally compliant its AI can actually create campaigns. And whether the technology can generate not only efficiency, but also real reach and added value. The savings potential is undoubtedly huge, but the decisive factor in the long term will be whether the generated content also achieves the desired response and virality!
