Candis raises around 16 million euros

The start-up wants to simplify invoice management with artificial intelligence. This has convinced new investors.

The Berlin-based start-up Candis has raised around 16 million euros in its latest financing round, according to EU Startups reports. According to the report, the financing round is led by

led by Viola Fintech. The existing investors Lightspeed and Viola Ventures also participated in the round.

Christian Ritosek, Christopher Becker and Garik Suess founded Candis in 2015. With the platform it has developed, the start-up aims to help small and medium-sized companies automate financial processes. These processes include invoice receipt, data entry, invoice approval and data export. The start-up claims to have worked with over 4,000 customers and more than 200 partners since it was founded.

With the new investment, the company now wants to expand its product range to include payments and introduce new invoice management functions. The team is also to be expanded. In addition, it wants to offer corporate credit cards that provide a centralized overview of all company spending in real time, so that companies do not have to wait weeks for a monthly statement.
