Cartken has completed financing of USD 22.5 million

New funding will be used by Cartken to further develop AI-based technology for autonomous delivery robots

Munich, July 2024 - Cartken Inc, an AI-powered autonomous robotics company, has announced that it has closed $22.5 million in total funding. The latest funding round of $10 million was led by 468 Capital and includes investments from global technology leaders such as Magna International, Shell Ventures and Mitsubishi Electric.

Cartken's technology combines Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer vision to seamlessly operate autonomous delivery robots both indoors and outdoors. This innovation promises to significantly increase operational efficiency and productivity, particularly in areas such as industrial automation and last mile delivery.

Successful applications and impressive figures

Since its inception, Cartken has completed hundreds of thousands of deliveries, averaging 36,000 deliveries per month. In 2023 alone, over 10,000 hours of employee transportation time were saved. Cartken serves some of the largest players in the OEM, biotech, pharmaceutical and chemical industries in the US, Germany, Denmark and Japan. Recently, the company also launched operations in Tokyo in partnership with Uber Eats and Mitsubishi Electric.
