Nigel Jankelson, originally COO at digital insurer Coya, which merged with Luko, has now become Managing Director. The previous CEO Max Bachem apparently left the company at his own request.

Nigel Jankelson has been CEO of Luko Insurance AG since the first of November. His predecessor Max Bachem apparently left the company at his own request to set up his own company. Jankelson had been COO since 2020 and CEO since 2021 at Coya, a digital insurer that merged with the Luko Group at the beginning of this year and is now called Luko Insurance AG.

In his new role, Jankelson aims to develop the company, which was founded in 2018, into the "most efficient risk carrier on the European market". His areas of responsibility are finance, sales, operations and HR. In particular, he wants to achieve this goal by expanding Luko's technology and data platform.

"Our common goal is to further grow the insurer, triple turnover again in 2023 and reach profitability soon," says Raphaël Vullierme, CEO and founder of the Luko Group. "I am sure that Nigel Jankelson will continue this success story." Luko claims to be the fastest growing insurtech in Europe.
