CERPRO secures € 2 million pre-seed

The Berlin-based AI startup CERPRO has raised almost two million euros in a pre-seed financing round. The round was led by seed + speed Ventures (investment arm of Carsten Maschmeyer), with D11Z as co-lead and investments from EIT Manufacturing and Techstars. CERPRO intends to use the fresh capital to expand its product development and sales and to expand into other European markets.

AI automates quality assurance in manufacturing

CERPRO develops AI-based software solutions for industrial quality assurance. The first product, QualiSpec, automates the creation of inspection plans from technical drawings and links quality data along the entire supply chain.

Drawing in, clear inspection reports out, without transposed numbers. The result for industrial production is inspection documents and processes that can also be integrated into existing systems.

CERPRO was founded in 2023 by Frederik Frei, Sascha Müller and Henrik Pitz. The trio combines experience from industry, software development and quality management. Since its launch in December 2024, over 100 SMEs from sectors such as mechanical engineering, aerospace and medical technology have used the platform. They report up to 80% faster inspection processes and 30% fewer errors.

In many manufacturing companies, design, production and quality assurance are still separate silos. Documentation is often created manually, sometimes using paper, Excel or PDF files. This leads to long throughput times and a high risk of errors.

QualiSpec recognizes features directly from CAD drawings, interprets them automatically and creates digital inspection plans in minutes instead of hours. Implementation takes just a few days.
