Cindy Rubbens becomes head of HR at Blacklane

The start-up is also filling the position of head of communications. The two newcomers are expected to steer the start-up's growth in a more orderly direction.
The chauffeur start-up Blacklane has made Cindy Rubens its head of human resources. Her official title is chief people experience officer (CPXO). Among other things, Rubbens will be responsible for growing the company's workforce as it continues to expand. So far, the startup can be found in 200 cities, but plans to grow in the future. Rubbens previously worked at Amorelie, Relayr and Sumup. "I'm looking forward to bringing my passion for HR to Blacklane and guiding the company through its next stages of development," Rubbens says.
In addition to Rubbens, Gudrun Hermann has also found a new role at the company and will become communications director. Like Rubbens, she will report directly to CEO Jens Wohltorf and will handle both internal and external communications. She comes from Treedom, a sustainability startup. "It's a privilege for me to be part of telling this story and ensuring that a strong communications strategy supports the company's growth and culture," Hermann says, looking ahead to her start.
Blacklane has been in existence since 2017 and operates as a platform for chauffeur services. The startup is headquartered in Berlin and most recently employed more than 400 people.
