CinSOIL supports companies in integrating carbon sequestration into soils as part of their sustainability strategy. With the new funding, the startup plans to expand its technology.

Berlin, April 3, 2025 - CinSOIL has closed a successful pre-seed financing round. The company receives investment from business angels in the Berlin-Brandenburg region as well as competitive funding for high-tech startups from the German government. This funding will enable CinSOIL to further develop its technology for carbon sequestration in agriculture and drive the scaling of carbon insetting for businesses.

Innovative solutions for carbon insetting

CinSOIL develops solutions that help companies use carbon sequestration in agricultural soils as an integral part of their sustainability strategies. By using soil carbon as a sink, the company not only contributes to emissions reduction, but also improves soil quality, biodiversity and economic resilience.

Soils are one of the most underutilized but powerful solutions in the fight against climate change. With this funding, we will further develop our technology and help companies to effectively integrate carbon insetting into their supply chains.

Scientifically sound and scalable technology

CinSOIL combines continuous ground measurements with satellite-based monitoring to ensure the credibility, cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance of carbon insetting. The technology enables precise monitoring and verification of CO₂ storage and helps companies to future-proof their climate strategies.

We develop solutions that make carbon insetting practicable and value-adding for companies of different sizes. Our technologies combine scientific precision with economic viability.

Growth and international cooperation

CinSOIL is already working with partners in several countries to advance carbon insetting in the agri-food sector. With the new funding, the company will further expand its technology, acquire new customers and deepen existing collaborations. Tavseef Mairaj Shah, COO of CinSOIL: "Healthy soils are essential for climate protection and sustainable agriculture. We want to support agricultural companies in achieving both environmental and economic benefits through carbon sequestration."

CinSOIL invites companies, farmers and climate technology experts to participate in the testing phase of its solution. The company is committed to establishing carbon insetting as the standard for sustainable supply chains and positioning soils as an important resource for the transition to regenerative economic systems.
