Co-founder Jessica Holzbach leaves Penta

This means that the last female founder is leaving the Berlin-based fintech. Holzbach wants to devote herself to new professional challenges.
Jessica Holzbach is leaving Penta Bank at the end of the month. The fintech made the announcement. Holzbach co-founded the startup and served on its executive team for four years. "She will pursue a new professional challenge outside of Penta, but will remain involved in the company," the statement said. Most recently, Holzbach served on the management board of the Berlin-based digital bank as chief customer officer, responsible for marketing, business development and customer relationship management.
The departure is at Holzbach's own request, it adds. CEO Markus Pertlwieser thanks the co-founder: "Penta owes a lot to Jessica. She has been instrumental in shaping the company's history and strongly driving its growth."
Penta was founded in 2017. In 2019, the fintech began operating under company builder Finleap. The company offers business accounts to self-employed individuals and small and medium-sized businesses. Just a few days ago, Penta cracked the 30,000 corporate customer mark. The startup employs about 150 people in Berlin and Belgrade.
