Via the platform, users can create a profile and have documents automatically checked for completeness and correctness. Once all the required documents have been uploaded, users can apply directly to universities. Compounder simplifies and facilitates admission to universities for future students.

The Cologne-based startup Compounder was launched by founders Paula Vorbeck (CEO) and Evelyn Wagner (CMO) and founder Carmine Siena (CTO). The idea for Compounder came from their own experience when the trio noticed how complicated university applications are in Germany. Berlin-based operational venture capitalist allygatr also believes in Compounder's idea and therefore participated in the startup's funding round. In the financing round, Compounder was able to raise almost half a million euros, with allygatr being one of the main investors.
