Corant wins new investor

The start-up analyses air quality. Now it has been able to win a new backer with its idea, who is investing a six-figure sum.
Robert Thomas Metall- und Elektrowerke GmbH und Co KG is investing a six-figure sum in Corant and plans to work with the start-up on new solutions and possible expansion abroad.
The start-up Corant is fully committed to air quality. Founded in 2015 in Chemnitz and Leipzig, it launched the airQ in 2020, an air analyzer that can distinguish and record up to 14 measured variables. AirQ can measure and analyse air components such as carbon dioxide, ozone and fine dust. This is to ensure how good the air in rooms and buildings is. The results are then visualized via an app on the smartphone or in a web portal in the browser.
The medium-sized company Robert Thomas Metall- und Elektrowerke is also concerned with the topic of air quality. Corant CEO Mario Körösi says of the investment in his start-up: "With Robert Thomas we have a real partner with a long-term interest. It's a perfect fit for our strategy." Also staying on board is business angel Ralf Unthan, who has increased his stake. TGFS Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen also remains on board as an investor.
