Davie Selke invests in Superbike8

The online marketplace for bicycles hopes to raise its profile with the support of the Bundesliga professional from Hertha BSC.
Footballer Davie Selke is investing in the start-up Superbike8. "The concept of supporting regional retailers while still marketing a cool lifestyle product convinced me to invest in the company," says the footballer. Exactly how much Selke has invested in the start-up is not known. With the athlete's support, the start-up hopes to raise its profile among potential customers and also actively invest in online marketing and sales.
Founded in 2022 by Wilhelm Hanke and Richard Hirschhuber, the start-up operates an online marketplace for bicycles and e-bikes. On the platform, small but also larger specialist retailers can offer their products. As a full-service provider, the start-up takes care of all issues for the specialty retailers, such as communication with the customer, comprehensive bike consulting, invoicing and marketing. "Our philosophy behind this is to revolutionize local specialty retailers and let them participate in digitalization," the company shared. The online presence would allow local retailers to reach a significantly larger group of potential customers.
