Better pricing with AI: DeepScout receives capital for expansion. The startup uses artificial intelligence to provide data-driven support for online stores.

Prague, March 2025 - The Prague-based startup DeepScout has received funding of 600,000 euros to support e-commerce companies with artificial intelligence (AI) in price and product range optimization. The company was launched by serial founder Jan Mittner and is financially supported by Miton, a startup studio that invested before the launch.

DeepScout offers online retailers easy access to market and competitor data. Thanks to AI technology, the company can process this data more efficiently and cost-effectively than conventional solutions. The platform also has the potential to be used in other sectors beyond e-commerce.

Automated data analysis for better decisions

E-commerce companies are faced with the challenge of collecting, cleansing and strategically utilizing huge amounts of competitive data. DeepScout aims to automate this process.

We continuously analyze the product range of many market participants and provide our customers with specific recommendations on product range and pricing strategy

The platform is almost entirely AI-supported and optimized for processing large volumes of data. It can manage several million products per customer and offers solutions for every company scale. DeepScout's algorithm covers all steps - from data collection, updating and analysis to the formulation of specific recommendations for online stores.

Product matching as a central function

A special feature of DeepScout is the AI-supported product matching. The technology compares product data from various sources - even without unique identification numbers such as EAN codes. "Our AI not only uses traditional text data, but also images from product galleries to identify whether the product is the same," explains Mittner. This achieves a level of reliability that previously required manual processes - but is now automated on a large scale.

Support from Miton and expansion

Miton became involved as a founding investor even before the market launch, initially investing 200,000 euros with an option for a further 400,000 euros. Product development is led by Tomáš Hodboď, who built up the fashion site Glami, among others. "Unique and clean data sets will play a crucial role in the era of language models. We see enormous potential for data-driven business models here," says Hodboď.

DeepScout plans to further develop its technology not only for e-commerce, but also to apply it in other industries such as real estate valuation, sales leads and investment data. These areas could also benefit from fully automated analysis.

International ambitions

Although DeepScout is not yet officially on the market, the start-up has already acquired its first paying customers in the Czech Republic. Mittner and his team of five have been working intensively on the platform since summer 2023. In the coming months, the product will be further refined based on customer feedback and then rolled out internationally. "We are already supplying data from international markets and see enormous potential beyond national borders," says Mittner. In the long term, DeepScout wants to establish a global platform for data-driven e-commerce optimization.
