€12 million pre-seed for ValkaAI
The AI startup ValkaAI has closed a pre-seed round of 12 million euros. The financing is led by Rockaway Ventures, with J&T Ventures, Tensor Ventures, BD Partners and Fond Naše Česko also participating. The round is one of the largest pre-seed investments in Central and Eastern Europe and underlines the investors' bet on a new category of AI-based video technology.
From linear video to real-time interactive experiences
Founded in Prague, ValkaAI is developing a platform that aims to transform video from a passive medium to an interactive user interface. Companies could use digital avatars that respond to users in real time, personalize content and are capable of dialogue. All without the scaling and cost problems that are common today.
The aim is "on-demand content": media that is not pre-produced, but generated and dynamically adapted to the situation.
Founding team with a scaled tech history
ValkaAI is backed by Vlastimil Venclík and Miloš Lokajíček. Venclík previously founded Oddin.gg, an e-sports data infrastructure company that was recognized as the fastest growing technology company in the region in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe ranking. Lokajíček is responsible for operational scaling and international expansion at ValkaAI.
Sports, e-sports and entertainment
Among other things, the technology will enable
- AI commentators that analyze live events contextually
- Digital characters that react to viewers
- Localized, personalized live broadcasts in real time
- Interactive sports and e-sports simulations
ValkaAI thus addresses a technical challenge: combining high visual quality with genuine real-time interactivity.
Building a new entertainment infrastructure
The funding will be used to expand research and product teams, further develop core technologies for digital characters, scale computing infrastructure and implement initial commercial pilot projects.
Rockaway Ventures is acting as part of Rockaway Capital's AI strategy, which focuses on fundamental technologies rather than short-term applications.
