Elegend wants to revive Audi Quattro

The new e-car start-up wants to bring old classics back onto the market. However, the Audi replica will only be produced 30 times.

The new e-car provider Elegend wants to bring old car sports cars back onto the market, this time as an electrically powered vehicle. The first car, the EL1, is very reminiscent of the Audi Quattro, which was built until 1991. Just like the classic, the EL1 is to have all-wheel drive, but this time electrically powered and four times as powerful (600 kW). A production run of just 30 vehicles is planned for the sports coupé. The Quattro double will have a top speed of 255 kilometers per hour and 816 hp. It will go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.8 seconds. In race mode, however, it can only complete two laps of the Nürburgring. Otherwise, the vehicle has a range of 400 kilometers.

The prototype is due to be unveiled next year. The EL1 should be on the market from the end of 2023. It will cost just over one million euros. E-Legends is planning further models. The EL2 could be a reminiscence of the Lancia Stratos, the legendary rally car that was presented in 1970, writes Auto Motor Sport.

In addition to wealthy buyers, founder Marcus Holzinger is also looking for investors. Holzinger is planning to found a stock corporation. One share is to be issued for 290 euros.
