The Vibe coding platform Emergent claims to have achieved an annualized revenue (ARR) of 100 million US dollars in just eight months, making it one of the fastest growing platforms for AI-supported software development. At the same time, the company presented its new mobile application Emergent AI, which allows users to develop software directly from their smartphone.

Mobile vibe coding aims to democratize software development

The platform aims to drastically reduce technical barriers to entry. Instead of long development cycles or high costs, users can formulate their ideas by voice input and the AI converts them into functioning applications within a few minutes. This is the company's response to the structural hurdles of traditional software development, such as a shortage of skilled workers, high budgets and long time-to-market.

Millions of users are already developing applications

According to the company, more than six million developers from over 190 countries have created over seven million apps with the platform to date. These applications support a wide range of business and work processes worldwide. More than 10,000 mobile apps have already been developed as part of an early access program alone.

Development possible anytime and anywhere

With the new mobile app, users can:

  • Create applications by voice command ("Create me an app that ...")
  • Develop projects seamlessly between desktop and smartphone
  • Publish websites, mobile tools or complete SaaS solutions directly

The idea behind it: Software is no longer only created at the workplace, but exactly where new ideas are born, for example on the go or in direct exchange with customers.

Strong growth momentum and investor support

Sales growth has recently accelerated significantly once again: ARR doubled from 50 to 100 million US dollars within a month. The company is receiving a tailwind from Series B financing of 70 million US dollars. Investors include Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed, Prosus, Together, Y Combinator and Google's AI Futures Fund. In total, the financing amounts to around 100 million US dollars.

Software development shifts to non-technicians

CEO and co-founder Mukund Jha sees this as a fundamental change: more and more non-programmers are developing and monetizing their own software products directly via AI platforms. Mobile use should further strengthen this trend and make software development an everyday tool for founders, SMEs and consultants.
