Enpal secures 1.1 billion euros in new customer loans

Learn how Enpal is accelerating the deployment of solar PV and heat pumps in Germany with an impressive €1.1 billion through partnerships with global financial giants
Berlin, March 20, 2024 - German renewable energy company Enpal has received €1.1 billion in financing commitments from Barclays Europe, Bank of America, Credit Agricole CIB and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments). The aim of this financing is to facilitate access to solar panels and heat pumps for over 35,000 households in Germany.

This financing enables Enpal to offer an integrated financing solution for the acquisition of new photovoltaic systems and other renewable energy products. These products include energy storage systems, charging stations for electric vehicles and heat pumps, all of which are controlled via an energy management platform developed by Enpal.
Viktor Wingert, Chief Investment Officer and co-founder of Enpal, explains that the partnerships with leading financial institutions make it possible to provide sustainable energy solutions to German households. Bela Schramm, Director of Securitization at Enpal, emphasizes that the financial support enhances Enpal's offerings to customers.
Representatives of the financial institutions involved express their confidence in the cooperation with Enpal and emphasize the importance of the commitment for the promotion of sustainable energy projects in Germany. The current financing round follows a previous financing round of more than 400 million euros, which Enpal concluded with various investors in June 2023. In total, the funds committed to Enpal now amount to over 3.6 billion euros.
