Essen-based Opta Data founds start-up from

Thevea is the name of the newly founded start-up that aims to help both speech therapists and physiotherapists with the digitalization of practices and therapies. It is a spin-off.
By 2025, the medical profession must also be digitized and connected to telemedicine. This is what the Federal Ministry of Health's current draft bill from the beginning of the year says. This is where the newly founded start-up Thevea senses an opportunity and offers practice management software. The solution can be used by healthcare providers, such as speech therapists and physiotherapists, rehabilitation sports providers and health centers, to digitize their therapies, training and practice management. Thevea is a spin-off of the Opta Data group of companies.
An initial offering has been available since December 2020 and, under the name evo-Check, provides support in checking the correct formulation of the prescription for therapeutic products in order to prevent reductions or billing difficulties. "Now that we have provided our customers and interested parties with a free tool for checking prescriptions in the form of eVO-Check, the next fee-based tariff will enable digital billing," announces founder Lauritz Angerstein, who works as Managing Director together with Julian Adams.
