Evela Health successful with 600,000 euros pre-seed

The FemTech start-up offers an app for menopausal women that can be booked as a corporate benefit through employers.

Berlin, May 19, 2025 - The Berlin-based FemTech start-up Evela Health has secured pre-seed funding of 600,000 euros. The round was supported by the angel network better ventures and several business angels, among others. The company's aim is to provide digital support for women going through the menopause with a service that employers can offer as a corporate benefit.

Digital support for women at work

Evela Health offers a web app that is distributed via companies to female employees aged 40 and over. Employers such as Labor Berlin and New Chapter Executive Search have already implemented the offer for their employees. The women are invited via a link and given access to a three-stage program: Information, personal advice and an individualized package of measures.

The advice is provided by certified menopause consultants, supplemented by a digital questionnaire to record individual symptoms, from sleep quality to joint pain. The results are incorporated into a tailor-made health program.

Co-founder and physician Dr. Valerie Kirchberger emphasizes the preventive approach. Evela wants to address complaints at an early stage, provide information and thus keep women fit for work for longer. Studies show: One in four women affected reduce their working hours due to menopausal symptoms and one in ten retire from work early.

Growing relevance of menopause FemTech

Evela joins a growing number of start-ups dedicated to the healthcare of women at work. Companies such as Hermaid are also focusing on app-based solutions with chatbots, video advice and training services. Its first corporate customers include Hilti and Novartis.

The launch of a mobile app version is planned for later in the year. At the same time, Evela is working on expanding its content and digital functionalities. The long-term goal is to establish a central platform for menopause health in the workplace.
