Evulpo raises around 7.7 million euros

The start-up plans to offer its tutoring platform in South America and Africa in the future.
The tutoring platform Evulpo has raised 7.7 million euros in its seed financing round. Swiss VC Serpentine Ventures as well as family offices and business angels, such as Wefox founder Dario Fazlic, invested.
Christian Marty, Manuel Kant and Jonas Fehlmann founded Evulpo 2020 in Zurich. The startup has developed an e-learning platform to provide better access to tutoring. The platform includes explainer videos, summaries and interactive exercises. "What differentiates us from other tutoring platforms is that we are clearly aligned with the curricula and offer free basic access that covers all majors and minors," Marty said. A paid subscription would only be necessary if the service was used very intensively, he added.
Since the end of 2022, the platform has been available in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and England, in addition to Germany and Switzerland. "As of the fourth quarter, we are planning to expand to South America and Africa," Kant says. "People there have a high digital affinity and there is a clear need for easy access to education."
