Exit - NRW.BANK sells shares in Taxy.io

Taxy.io develops software solutions based on artificial intelligence for tax and legal departments in law firms, SMEs and corporations. More than 1,500 law firms and companies in Germany already use the company's AI tax assistant. It was the first digital assistant to pass the German tax consultant exam and supports specialists in processing complex queries.
Taxy.io was founded in 2018 as a spin-off from RWTH Aachen University.
Many years of support from NRW.BANK
NRW.BANK has been involved in Taxy.io since 2019 via the NRW.SeedCap program and the TechVision Fund. During the coronavirus pandemic, the startup also developed an online tool that provided companies with a quick overview of government aid programs, including offers from NRW.BANK.
Taxy.io proves it: Ideas with an international format are created in North Rhine-Westphalia. We supported the team from its foundation to its exit - a good example of how our commitment supports the growth of young companies and strengthens NRW as a start-up location
Johanna Antonie Tjaden-Schulte, Member of the Managing Board of NRW.BANK
Prospects after the exit
Even after the sale, the founders want to remain connected to the start-up ecosystem.
After our successful exit, we look forward to supporting the next generation of start-ups as business angels in the win NRW.BANK Business Angels Initiative."
