Exmox sold for 100 million euros

Hamburg-based adtech company Exmox is being acquired by the Aonic Group for 100 million euros. This is a Swedish video game group that was only founded in early 2022 and has been on a takeover spree ever since.

Since the beginning of the year, Aonic has already acquired Tutotoons and Addapptr, as Golem reported. Tutotoons develops games for children between the ages of three and twelve, while Addapptr is also a Hamburg-based adtech company. Likewise, Aonic invested, according to Games Market $35 million in VR game studio nDream.

With Exmox, Aonic now wants to complement its portfolio. The company, which was founded by Alper Eger back in 2015 and according to German Startups built without venture capital, aims to help mobile game studios attract users with data-driven campaigns.
