Finleap Connect raises €22 million

The fintech is only two years old, but is already active in several European markets. Now Finleap Connect is raising 22 million euros. SBI Investment and Ilavska Vuillermozv join as investors.

Finleap Connect was formed in 2019 from a merger of the start-up Figo and the fintech platform Finreach Solutions under the Finleap umbrella. The fintech has now announced the conclusion of a successful financing round: Finleap Connect raised 22 million euros. The round was led by SBI Investment, an offshoot of the Japanese tech fund Softbank. In addition to existing investors such as Finleap, the Luxembourg investor Ilavska Vuillermoz is also involved. It invests in fintechs N26 and Penta and took part in the 16 million euro financing round of insurtech Element at the beginning of the month.

Finleap Connect is using the money to expand into other European markets with a focus on Spain and Portugal, develop new market segments and expand its service: "This financing round and the participation of the new high-caliber investors is an important milestone in the implementation of our vision to create a pan-European banking platform," says CEO Frank Kebsch.

Finleap Connect's software platform offers its customers access to data from banks and other financial service providers, which they can enrich and process with analysis and data tools. "We are very pleased to support finleap connect as the company builds on its leadership in DACH," says Yoshitaka Kitao of SBI Investment. According to official figures, the fintech's valuation is now in the three-digit million range, Finance Forward estimates the sum at 100 to 150 million euros.
