Finst raises 8 million euros Series A for expansion in Europe
The Dutch crypto fintech Finst has closed a Series A financing round of eight million euros. The lead investor is the growth fund Endeit Capital, while DEGIRO co-founder Mark Fransen and Eelko van Kooten are also involved. Finst has thus raised a total of 15 million euros since its foundation. According to its own information, the company is already operating profitably.
The fresh capital will primarily be used for Europe-wide expansion. After entering the German market in December 2025, the focus is now on further expanding business in the EU's largest crypto market. Finst had already underlined its ambitions in 2024 with the acquisition of BaFin-regulated provider Anycoin Direct.
Germany as a key market for further growth
Germany is considered one of the most dynamic crypto markets in Europe. According to a BlackRock study from 2025, 5.8 million people are already investing in cryptocurrencies, and this figure is expected to rise to 7.5 million by 2026. At the same time, the market is being criticized for high fees, non-transparent spreads and additional costs.
Finst is positioning itself specifically with a transparent pricing model. The platform charges a 0.15 percent trading fee per transaction and does not charge any hidden costs. According to Finst, this puts it up to 90 percent below the market average for regulated crypto exchanges in Germany.
Expansion of the product range and institutional services
Finst was founded in 2023 by a former DEGIRO team. Today, the company has around 100,000 verified users, handles an annual trading volume in the billions and has increased its turnover fourteenfold within three years.
In addition to new functions for private investors, Finst plans to further expand its B2B and crypto-as-a-service offering in particular. As a MiCAR-licensed broker and custodian, the company is also increasingly targeting financial institutions, fintechs, asset managers and companies that want to trade and store digital assets in compliance with regulations.
