With its mypaperwork.ai platform, the Viennese startup Fresh Labs aims to eliminate one of the biggest obstacles for skilled workers, companies and entire economies: Bureaucracy. Complex procedures and confusing processes can present enormous hurdles, especially when it comes to international migration issues.

To change this, Fresh Labs relies on a combination of artificial intelligence, legal logic and user-centered design. The startup has now completed a pre-seed investment of €500,000. The business angels Hermann Futter, Nikolaus Niki Futter, Markus Ertler and Michael Edtmayer, who are part of the Angels United network, are involved.

AI for migration and integration

The mypaperwork.ai platform sees itself as a digital infrastructure for Europe. It guides users through complex migration processes, automates central workflows and thus ensures transparency.

As a first step, Fresh Labs is focusing on the RWR+ Card (Red-White-Red Card) in Austria. This is a key instrument for the immigration of skilled workers. By automating visa applications and providing personalized recommendations, the startup aims to ease the burden on both applicants and authorities.

The technical basis is a combination of Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Large Language Models (LLMs) and Knowledge Graphs. This enables the platform to automatically recognize documents, check legal requirements and provide individually tailored instructions.

Expansion to the Czech Republic planned

The financing round gives Fresh Labs a tailwind for the next step: the startup plans to expand to the Czech Republic in 2025. The aim is a Europe-wide rollout with scalable architecture that flexibly integrates other countries.

While the USA is closing itself off, Europe can attract talent from all over the world. mypaperwork is building the digital infrastructure to deliver on this promise.

Experienced founding team

Behind Fresh Labs are the founders Maggie Childs, Vit Lichtenstein and Benjamin Wolf. The trio combines legal expertise, technology know-how and international start-up experience. With the vision of developing a user-friendly, AI-based system that rethinks migration, Fresh Labs is positioned at the interface between LegalTech, GovTech and AI.

The pre-seed financing shows that there is also growing investor interest in the field of migration technology. With mypaperwork.ai, Fresh Labs is not only addressing a market with high political and social relevance, but also a pan-European need.
