Fuerst Wiacek builds its own brewery

Two craft beer brewers from Berlin now want to build their own factory. This should make the start-up more independent.
Georg Fürst and Lukasz Wiacek want to become more independent. Until now, the two founders have always had their craft beer Fuerst Wiacek produced in rented breweries. Now the two Berlin start-up founders want to build their own brewery. Starting in April, the beer will be brewed in their own brewery. At the Volkspark Jungfernheide is already being built on the productionsite.
Since November, the start-up has admittedly seen sales slump because bars and festivals stopped buying kegs. "Unlike in the spring and summer, our customers are now keeping their money together," Georg Fürst tells Handelsblatt
. But they are now hoping for better times, especially when people can sit outside again in the summer.Fürst and Wiacek founded their start-up in 2016. At first, they brewed their craft beer on weekends in Munich. Then they rented space in a Berlin brewery, and currently Fuerst Wiacek is brewing in Copenhagen.
