Gameforge boss founds publisher for blockchain games

The newly founded games publisher Eleet Games has completed its first round of financing. Gameforge boss Carsten van Husen wants to focus on blockchain games with the start-up.
Berlin-based gaming start-up Eleet has raised its first round of funding. Gameforge founder and majority shareholder Alexander Rösner and venture capitalists from Blockchain Founders Group and Blockrocket are investing. Blockchain Founders and Blockrocket are also among the investors. Wolfang Männel, Managing Director of Blockchain Founders Group, is convinced by the idea of Eleet Games: "As early-stage blockchain investors from the heart of Europe, we are very happy to support Eleet Games' vision of positioning itself as a decentralized publisher of games, as this is exactly what the crypto markets need right now."
The company was founded in Karlsruhe by former Gameforge CEO Casten van Husen. The 20-strong team also includes co-founder and COO Peter Stein and Sir Ian Livingstone as Creative Director. One of the first projects is the fantasy role-playing game Oathbound. "I have known Carsten for more than 20 years and when Peter presented me with the early alpha version of their first MMORPG Oathbound in autumn 2021, I realized that Eleet Games had a real opportunity to bring the worlds of gaming and blockchain closer together," says Sir Ian Livingstone, who himself became known as a gamer.
