Gethenry becomes Cycle and gets new COO

European expansion is now to be driven forward under a new brand name. To this end, Marjorie Simon is expanding the start-up's management team.
From now on, the start-up Gethenry will be called Cycle. She says it was time for the brand to better express the company's values. "Cycle represents not only our vehicles, but also our mission: to provide efficient and environmentally friendly last-mile delivery," the company's Linkedin post reads. It said the new brand is intended to be "urban, bold and cool" .
In addition to the name change, there are also changes in the executive suite. Marjorie Simon is the new chief operations officer, tasked with making the company profitable and supporting its expansion in Europe. Her previous positions include Accenture, E&Y and Allianz Partners.
Luis Orsini-Rosenberg and Nikodemus Seilern founded the startup in 2018. The founders produce e-bikes and rent them out to delivery companies. For this purpose, the startup offers its customers software to track the e-bike fleet and a service to maintain the vehicles for free. Well-known delivery services such as Gorillas, Wolt, Flink and Lieferando are among the company's customers. At the moment Cycle is active in Germany, Austria and Italy. Soon, the service will also be available in Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
