Deeptechs with a focus on climate protection can apply for funding until January 29.

The Global Entrepreneurship Center (GEC) is publishing a call for sustainable start-ups. Companies from the fields of construction, housing, textiles, energy, agriculture and food can apply. The entire scale-up program includes funding of up to 200,000 euros in the form of convertible loans and benefits in kind. The application phase runs until January 29.

The program is intended to support founders in developing their start-ups into scalable companies. Initially, 20 young companies per year are to be supported. The start-ups will first go through the Catalyst program. After successful completion, they can qualify for the Scaling Factory. In the program, the founders learn specialist knowledge in the field of sustainability management.

The GEC is a transformation hub that deals with scaling obstacles for deeptechs. Based in Meerbusch, the hub promotes national and international companies that meet certain sustainability criteria. The aim of the hub is to drive structural change in the Rhineland in line with sustainable development goals. The GEC is supported by the Rhine district of Neuss and the "STARK Program" to support the transformation of the Rhineland region.
