Gründerwasen 2025 - Stuttgart celebrates entrepreneurial spirit

On October 8, 2025, the Almhütte Royal at the Cannstatter Volksfest will be transformed into the center of Baden-Württemberg's startup scene. The Gründerwasen, organized by Startup Stuttgart e.V., brings together over 1,200 founders, investors and innovation enthusiasts. Twice as many as at last year's premiere.
Beyond networking, a stage for start-ups
The program starts with an exclusive VIP event for partners, followed by a Startup Pitch Parade and a Startup Expo on the gallery of the Almhütte. In the evening, extreme athlete and world cyclist Jonas Deichmann will inspire courage, endurance and mental strength in his keynote speech. Afterwards, Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut and Stuttgart's Lord Mayor Frank Nopper will open the networking part of the event.
Positive signal for entrepreneurship and community
"The fact that both the Minister of Economic Affairs and the Lord Mayor are honoring the Gründerwasen with their visit shows the relevance of this format," emphasizes Karin Pfisterer, Head of Gründerwasen and Deputy Chairwoman of Startup Stuttgart e.V."It is a strong signal for the importance of entrepreneurship, innovation and community in our region."
Stuttgart's cauldron has always produced innovations that have had an impact far beyond the region, from automotive and mechanical engineering to new technologies. The Gründerwasen is now also part of this tradition! It brings together the creative minds of the state in a tent to share ideas, build networks and make the culture of innovation in the south-west visible.
On the Wasen
Stuttgart is set to become one of Europe's leading startup ecosystems - characterized by genuine community, a culture of giving and entrepreneurial courage.
Johannes Ellenberg, President of Startup Stuttgart e.V.
The choice of the Volksfest is deliberate. Just as the Cannstatter Volksfest once created community in times of upheaval, the Gründerwasen today creates a place where startup energy and a folk festival atmosphere merge. After the successful kick-off in 2024 with over 600 guests, the region's largest startup folk festival is moving to the Almhütte Royal. Over 1,200 participants from the start-up scene, business and politics are expected.
The Almhütte Royal is the perfect location for the Gründerwasen - it combines folk festival flair with startup spirit
