Günter Butschek becomes Managing Director at Moove

The former Airbus manager wants to help the start-up bring its electric vans and electric minibuses to market by 2023.

Moove is bringing a new CEO on board at the beginning of April: Under Günther Butschek, Moove aims to be able to deliver its electric vans and electric minibuses by 2023. Another focus of his work will be the further development of the product portfolio, the business model and future partnerships.

"My motivation is the challenge and the opportunity to play a key role in developing sustainable last-mile mobility solutions," says Günter Butschek. A graduate in business administration, he previously worked as managing director for Tata Motors. There, he headed the India business and international markets. He also worked as Global Chief Operating Officer for Airbus. Butschek began his career in the 1980s at Mercedes-Benz. There he held various management positions and headed, among other things, the Mercedes-Benz joint venture Beijing-Benz Automotive.

RWTH Aachen University professor Günther Schuh and his team founded Moove in 2018, initially as a joint venture between E.go Mobile and Zukunft Ventures, a subsidiary of ZF Friedrichshafen. Since October 2021, Moove has been an independent company. The start-up is working on an all-electric van for the courier and logistics market and an all-electric minibus for passenger transport.
