Holy Technologies secures EUR 4.3 million

The Hamburg-based startup Holy Technologies has closed a financing deal worth EUR 4.3 million. The funds will be used to build the world's first autonomous factory for lightweight components. The company's aim is to enable manufacturers in the automotive, aviation and industrial sectors to produce components more efficiently, more lightly and more sustainably.
The financing is provided by a consortium consisting of Rockstart, Vanagon Ventures, SANDS, Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg, EIT Manufacturing and several well-known business angels, including Adrian Locher (Merantix AG) and Matthias Dantone (Ellipsis Ventures).
AI and robotics for faster, lighter components
Holy Technologies relies on an AI-controlled platform that combines robotics and automation. The system is material-agnostic and processes carbon, glass, aramid and natural fibers. It enables the production of complex geometries with customized mechanical properties such as strength and stiffness.
Autonomous manufacturing means more than efficiency. It creates components that revolutionize weight, performance and sustainability. The path to autonomy requires systems that have been developed from the ground up for these purposes.
Moritz Reiners, CTO and co-founder of Holy Technologies
The technology allows manufacturers to adapt their products more quickly to changing market requirements, speed up product development and at the same time recover material residues at the end of the life cycle. Closed-loop recycling ensures that materials can be reused without compromising on quality.
Proven pilot plants and initial successes
Since its foundation in 2022, Holy Technologies has set up a fully functional pilot plant and concluded initial purchase agreements for thousands of components. The company also has partnerships with leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. In cooperation with a Formula 1 team, the company was able to demonstrate a weight saving of 20% compared to existing components, which underlines the performance of the autonomous manufacturing platform.
The future of European manufacturing
The funding will enable Holy Technologies to build the factory in Hamburg and start production on an industrial scale. By combining AI, robotics and innovative materials, the start-up is positioning itself as a pioneer for efficient, flexible and sustainable manufacturing solutions in Europe.
The race for Europe's industrial competitiveness has begun. With this funding, we can scale our system and deliver radically better lightweight parts to manufacturers - at the highest speed.
Bosse Rothe Frossard, CEO and co-founder Holy Technologies
Holy Technologies is a European startup specializing in the automated production of high-performance lightweight components. The company's proprietary Infinite Fiber Placement (IFP) technology places continuous fibers along a calculated path, enabling complex geometries with optimal mechanical properties. From prototypes to series production, the start-up helps companies to go from CAD model to finished component in weeks rather than months.
