IBM acquires Txture to accelerate hybrid cloud transformations

IBM Consulting has announced the acquisition of the Austrian company Txture GmbH. The company develops software solutions that support companies in the migration, modernization and optimization of hybrid cloud environments. With the integration of Txture into the IBM Consulting Advantage platform, IBM intends to further expand its consulting competencies in the area of cloud transformation.

The acquisition will enable IBM Consulting to support clients faster and more efficiently with cloud projects. Txture's software enables, among other things

Txture was founded in 2017 and is based in Innsbruck, Austria. The company was founded as a spin-off of the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Innsbruck, where practice-oriented research into the planning and transformation of global IT landscapes has been conducted since 2009.

Since its foundation, Txture has supported more than 100 cloud transformation projects worldwide and analyzed over 50,000 applications. The software is used by companies and system integrators to implement cloud projects faster and improve the quality of the results.
