Start-ups that offer sustainable solutions for dry and overexploited forests can apply for the funding program until 7 July 2022.

Deforestation, overexploitation, drought and pests are destroying large areas of forest in Germany and around the world. For this reason, the Future Forest Initiative is developing an innovation hub. The aim is to develop solutions for a healthy forest. Founders and start-ups can now apply for the support program until 7 July. The program runs from 4. August to September 6, 2022.

The program is aimed at start-ups that develop digital solutions for the forest (sensor technology, AI systems, smart services) and are committed to sustainable reforestation and innovative forest conversion. The program is also looking for companies that offer new business models relating to the forest and climate ecosystem and develop innovative and sustainable concepts for wood use (processing, reuse, new types of composite materials).

Participants in the program can expect individual mentoring, dinners with investors, workshops and tickets for the Future Forest Forum 2022. Participants will also be given a pitch session at the forum.
