K2 Mobility closes first financing round

K2 Mobility GmbH from Potsdam has successfully completed its first round of financing. With its SaaS platform PANION, the company develops software that enables the economical operation of fleets of heavy electric commercial vehicles. The aim is to accelerate the electrification of road freight and passenger transportation.
Strong investor base
The round is led by Brandenburg Kapital. JK Invest, theDOCK, MobilityFund and ABB E-mobility are also participating. K2 Mobility intends to use the new funds to expand its team, accelerate product development and drive forward the market launch of PANION.
We are delighted to support the Potsdam-based company K2 Mobility in its mission to drive the electrification of the logistics industry with its innovative technology.

Focus on operational efficiency in everyday life
K2 Mobility is aimed specifically at operators of heavy trucks and buses. Existing digital systems were mostly developed for diesel models. They do not take charging times, ranges and the dynamics of modern logistics processes into account. The PANION platform integrates charging planning, route data, vehicle and energy data in real time and thus ensures optimized processes in the operation of electric fleets.
Freight and passenger transportation is undergoing profound change - not least because the TCO of electric trucks and buses is already lower than that of diesel models in many applications
Dr. Ulrich Kalex, co-founder of K2 Mobility
Markus Kröger, Co-Founder, adds:"Our platform closes a key gap. It makes the complex reality of e-mobility in logistics plannable - and therefore economically viable."
Market potential in the billions
Road freight transport is in a state of upheaval: in addition to CO₂ savings, electrification brings with it new operational requirements, such as range planning, charging infrastructure and network availability. K2 Mobility offers a specialized tool that combines transport management with energy and charging planning. The start-up thus addresses the operational perspective - crucial for profitability in an industry with tight margins.
K2 Mobility is already working with pioneers of electrification, including ASKO/NorgesGruppen, Amazon ATS, Schenker, Posten-Bring and Hansea. The company intends to use the new funds to strengthen its sales activities, develop new functions and deepen strategic partnerships.
