Karos takes over Goflux

By merging with its French partner, the Cologne-based start-up is now expanding to France and Denmark.
The French Karos Group is acquiring the German ride-sharing app Goflux. Both companies want to connect commuters so that they can form carpools. Through the merger with its partner, Goflux is now expanding to France and Denmark.
Founded in 2019, startup Goflux has developed a carpooling app. A matching algorithm determines a suitable meeting point for drivers and passengers and navigates both there based on Google Maps. Billing and digital payment for rides are also integrated into the app. The startup claims that users could save an average of 97 euros per month. Goflux has also been present in the Netherlands since April of this year.
"We are very excited to work with Karos and benefit from a proven AI-powered technology," says founder and CEO of Goflux Mobility, Wolfram Uerlich. "Together we will transform the mobility market in Germany, France and other European countries." Both companies plan to launch their services in four new countries by the end of 2024.
