Kidola receives 1.3 million euros in seed funding

Digital solution for childcare management. With new funding, Kidola aims to expand its platform and relieve the burden on childcare professionals across Europe

Dudelange, Luxembourg, May 21, 2025 - The Luxembourg-based startup Kidola has closed a seed financing round of 1.3 million euros. The round was led by VC firm Expon Capital. The capital will be used in particular to further develop the software, expand the team and expand into the French market.

Kidola has all the prerequisites to become a leading SaaS provider for childcare in Europe.

The founding idea arose from the everyday lives of the three founders Jonathan Kindermans, Quentin de Madre and Simon Lelorrain. As new fathers, they were confronted with the organizational challenges of everyday life in childcare facilities and saw potential for a digital solution.

All-in-one platform for daycare management

Kidola has developed a user-friendly SaaS platform that digitally maps all core processes of early childhood care: from communication with parents and attendance recording to billing and compliance with legal requirements. The aim is to simplify administration - for educational staff as well as for parents and providers.

Growing complexity requires new tools

The market for digital solutions in the education and childcare sector is growing: rising parental demands for flexibility, increasing government regulations and documentation requirements are increasing the pressure on daycare centers. At the same time, there is often a lack of digital tools to meet these demands.

More than 30,000 professionals in Luxembourg, Belgium and France already use Kidola. A key advantage of the platform is that it is easy to use, even without prior IT knowledge.

Focus on growth in France

With the new funding, Kidola is planning to expand its market in France in particular, where there is great demand for digital management tools for childcare facilities. The company also wants to further expand the analysis and reporting functions of its platform in order to provide daycare centers with even better support in meeting legal requirements.

It will be interesting to see whether Kidola will also include the fragmented German market in its expansion plans.
