The company intends to use the capital for expansion and internationalization. The app it has developed is designed to prevent people in need of care from falling using gait analysis and AI technology.

The Berlin-based health tech start-up Lindera has raised six million euros in capital from a Series A financing round. The family office Zwei.7 and other entrepreneurs are now among Lindera's shareholders. Existing investors from the Rheingau Founders' environment have once again participated.

The company's developments include an app that uses gait analysis and AI technology to prevent people in need of care from falling. According to the start-up, hundreds of healthcare facilities are already using the software. Among other things, Lindera wants to use the capital to tailor care more closely to patients. The company also wants to grow internationally and drive forward development for admission, treatment and discharge management in hospitals. The company will also soon be seeking approval for a digital care application and opening up new fields of application for clinics and therapists.

Diana Heinrichs, founder and CEO of Lindera, believes that the investment will enable the company to move into new areas: "Just as Amazon has developed from a pioneer in online book retail to one of the leading tech companies, with Zwei.7 we are now moving from an AI pioneer in care to a movement specialist along the entire supply chain." Karsten Wulf, co-founder of buw Holding and shareholder of the Zwei.7 family office, sees great potential in Lindera: "In view of demographic trends and the ongoing shortage of skilled workers, we see enormous potential in digital health and care applications." The aim is to improve efficiency, but also to increase the quality of care. Lindera will play an important role in this - and "always have people in mind", adds Wulf.

Lindera's AI-based 3D motion tracking technology can be used flexibly in all areas of the healthcare sector. These include geriatric care, orthopaedics, geriatrics, neurology, rehabilitation and therapy. The company has set itself the goal of democratizing the use of such technologies in the healthcare sector.
