The company wants to use the capital for expansion and internationalization. The app it has developed is designed to prevent people in need of care from falling using gait analysis and AI technology.

The Berlin-based health tech start-up Lindera has raised six million euros in a Series A financing round. This means that the family office Zwei.7 and other entrepreneurs are now among Lindera's shareholders. Existing investors from the Rheingau Founders environment have participated again.

The company's developments include an app that uses gait analysis and AI technology to prevent people in need of care from falling. Hundreds of healthcare facilities are already using the software, according to the startup. Among other things, Lindera plans to use the capital to tailor care more to patients. The company also wants to grow internationally and develop for admission, treatment and discharge management in hospitals. The company is also expected to soon gain approval for a digital nursing application and open up new fields of application for clinics and therapists.

Diana Heinrichs, founder and CEO of Lindera, believes the investment will allow the company to move into new areas: "Similar to how Amazon has evolved from a pioneer in online book retailing to one of the leading tech companies, we are now moving with Zwei.7 from an AI pioneer in care to a movement specialist along the entire care chain." Karsten Wulf, co-founder of buw Holding and shareholder of family office Zwei.7, sees great potential in Lindera: "In view of demographic developments and the ongoing shortage of skilled workers, we see enormous potential in digital health and care applications." The aim, he says, is to improve efficiency, but also to increase the quality of care. Lindera will play an important role in this - and "always have people in mind," Wulf adds.

Lindera's AI-based 3D motion tracking technology is said to be flexible enough to be used in all areas of the healthcare sector. These include elderly care, orthopaedics, geriatrics, neurology, rehab and therapy. The company aims to democratize the use of such technologies in the healthcare sector.
